We’re all so busy these days, but we still want to be festive for the holidays! Here’s a quick, easy and comfortable way to show your Halloween cheer as you do your thing around town all throughout the month of October!
What’s Needed:
- Stencil1 Jack-o-Lantern 1 Happy Stencil -Small (5.75″x6″)
- Stencil1 Happy Halloween with Bats Stencil (8.5″x11″)
- Black Long-Sleeved T-Shirt
- Black Headband
- Orange, Black and Purple Fabric Paint
- Fabric Glue
- Orange, Black and Purple Glitter
- Wire
- Embroidery Floss
- Embroidery Needle
- Stick Pins
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Orange Felt
- Stuffing
- Green Organza Ribbon
- Stencil Paint Brushes
- Tape
- Painters Palette
- Cardboard
- Paper Pattern
Using the pattern provided cut two pumpkin outlines out of the orange felt.
Place the Jack-O-Lantern stencil over one of the pieces of felt.
Apply black fabric paint over the stencil with a gentle pouncing motion.
Mix fabric glue with the black paint and apply a second coat, then sprinkle black glitter over the entire design. Tap away the excess glitter and set the piece aside to dry while you work on your shirt.
Place a piece of cardboard inside the shirt. Next, position your Happy Halloween stencil onto the shirt and secure it in place with tape.
Carefully remove the stencil and set the piece aside to dry while you go back to working on your headpiece.
Thread the needle with black embroidery floss and stitch the two pieces of felt together with a blanket stitch, leaving the bottom tabs open.
Fashion a loop out of wire and secure it to the top of the headband.
Stuff the Jack-O-Lantern with stuffing and place it over the wire loop.
Wrap the felt tabs around the headband and secure it in place with a blanket stitch as shown.
Tie bows of green organza ribbon to the headband on both sides of the Jack-O-Lantern and trim the ends at a 45-degree angle.
