Our creative friend Marisa at Modern Realist is also a Mom, a cool Mom for sure! Her daughter seems to be a lot like Mommy as she loves to play and get creative too. Marisa sent me these images of Ellie’s creative day full of glue, glitter, and stencils.

Some of our stencils are especially suited for kids, the bolder designs with lots of open areas allow for dumping in glue and glitter!

Silhouette shapes are also a kids favorite like the unicorn and heart shapes in our Rainbow, Unicorn 4 pack.

Felt + stencils + glue + glitter + and some other crafty embellishments = Beautiful Expressive Art

The Poodle stencil is great because it has large open cut out shapes, kids can fill them in with all sorts of craft supplies.

This stencil also comes in our Book Stencil1 101. I highly recommend this book because of it’s value and as a starter kit into stenciling. A friend of mine, Jenny, told me her infant liked it just as a picture book, the bold designs were appealing to her. I loved that and as she grew, she could use her favorite stencils from the book!

All filled in, see!

Clearly a happy, creative day.

Love this electrifying poodle, great job!

We have seen many unique items stenciled in our day but this one takes the cake, um, or the bread! We first came across @jennifer.bakes when she tagged Stencil1 on Instagram with one of her beautiful stenciled bread creations. This bread is not only beautiful, but it’s also edible and makes a WOW factor for any dinner party or holiday.  Behold Jen’s stenciled bread, Halloween, Winter, or anyway beautifully designed stenciled bread!

I asked Jen the process and she replied ” The process is pretty simple. The white is just flour and the black is activated charcoal (super messy but also super worth it). Right before baking I lightly spray the dough with water and use a tea infuser to dust on the flour over the stencil. For the activated charcoal, or if I’m layering the colors, I use a paint brush to dab the powder onto the stencil to be less wasteful with it and for more control.” Well, we have to try this, Thank you Jen!

Check out Jen on Instagram and if you cook up some Stencil1 edibles, please share with us @Stencil1 !

We would like to shoutout the creative and wonderful people who send us their stencil projects. Thank you all for sending us your Stencil1 creations and tagging them on social media #stencil1 and @stencil1, you inspire us!
